Supreme Driving Instruction is a small but successful driving school based in Watford.
Providing a calm, informative and safe environment for the school's students is a priority. Whether on the road, in the safe hands of a qualified ADI or using online learning resources to prepare for the theory and practical tests our aim is to develop each student into a knowledgeable and safe road user.
The Car
The Car
To prepare students for driving on the road in their own car Supreme Driving Instruction uses a small city car, the Toyota Yaris, for tuition.
The Yaris is built with safety in mind, including driver, passenger, curtain and knee airbags. It achieved a 5 Star safety rating when tested by EuroNCAP.
The revised 1.33 litre engine produces a sufficient 99bhp making it more than capable on fast paced dual carriageways. It also includes a start/stop system to cut down on fuel use and exhaust emissions during city driving.
Unusually, the Yaris has a analogue dashboard display central to the car rather than the driver. The positioning makes it easier for the driver to read, while maintaining forward vision, as well as improving the view of the road.

Sam Philo, ADI, BSc
Having grown up and taught in Watford (and the surrounding areas), Sam has a good knowledge of the town and its surrounding suburbs.
This makes him ideal to get the best out of the lesson, be it selecting quiet roads for those beginning lessons or explaining challenging junctions that students might encounter while preparing for their test.

"From a young age I was interested in mechanical transport whether it be bicycles, motorbikes, cars or aeroplanes. However that interest was more of a passion when it came to cars and driving"
